Pazocent 200mg Tablet 1 Strip

✔️ Common side effects include:

• Hepatic toxicity (elevated liver enzymes)
• QT prolongation and Torsades de Pointes
• Cardiac dysfunction
• Hemorrhagic events
• Thromboembolic events
• Gastrointestinal perforation or fistula
• Interstitial lung disease
• Hypertension
• Hypothyroidism
• Proteinuria
• Tumor lysis syndrome
• Infection
• Increased toxicity with other cancer therapies

✔️ Dosage & Administration

• Recommended starting dose: 800 mg orally once daily, on an empty stomach (at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal).
• Maximum dose: 800 mg daily.
• Tablets should not be crushed due to the risk of increased absorption.
• If a dose is missed and less than 12 hours remain until the next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not take a double dose.
• Females: Should use effective contraception during treatment and for at least 2 weeks after the last dose of Pazocent.
• Males: Should use condoms during treatment and for at least 2 weeks after the last dose to avoid exposure to pregnant partners.
• Pediatric Use: Safety and efficacy in pediatric patients have not been established.

✔️ Interactions

• CYP3A4 Inhibitors (e.g., Ketoconazole, Ritonavir, Clarithromycin) may increase Pazocent concentrations. If co-administered, reduce the dose to 400 mg.
• CYP3A4 Inducers (e.g., Rifampin) may decrease Pazocent concentrations.
• P-glycoprotein (P-gp) and BCRP inhibitors should be avoided, as they may increase Pazocent exposure.
• Pazocent weakly inhibits CYP3A4, CYP2C8, and CYP2D6, which may affect drugs metabolized by these enzymes.

✔️ Contraindications

Pazocent is contraindicated in patients who are hypersensitive to Pazopanib or any of its components.

✔️ Pregnancy & Lactation

• Pregnancy: Pazopanib can harm the fetus. It is advised that women of reproductive potential use effective contraception during treatment and for at least 2 weeks after the final dose.
• Lactation: There is no information on whether Pazopanib is excreted in human milk. Due to potentially serious side effects in breastfed infants, breastfeeding should be avoided during treatment and for 2 weeks after the last dose.

✔️ Precautions & Warnings

• Hepatic Toxicity: Hepatotoxicity, including severe and fatal liver damage, has been observed, especially in patients over 65.
• QT Prolongation: Pazocent may prolong the QT interval, particularly in patients with a history of QT prolongation. Monitoring of ECG and electrolytes is recommended.
