Children:
- 2-6 years: 2.5 ml syrup, 3-4 times daily.
- 6-12 years: 5 ml syrup, 3-4 times daily.
- Over 12 years: 5-10 ml syrup, 3-4 times daily (or 2-4 mg tablet, 3-4 times daily).
Adults: 2-4 mg tablet, 3-4 times daily. The maximum single dose is 8 mg tablet.

✔️ Overdose Effects

Symptoms: Tremor, angina, headache, nausea, vomiting, tachycardia.

Antidote: Cardio-selective β-blockers (use cautiously due to bronchospasm risk).

✔️ Side Effects

Common: Tremor (especially hands), palpitations, muscle cramps.
Occasional: Tachycardia, nervousness, headache, peripheral vasodilation.
Rare: Nausea, vomiting, tension, or hypersensitivity reactions.

✔️ Pregnancy & Lactation

Use during pregnancy only if the benefit outweighs the risk.
Unknown if excreted in breast milk; caution is advised.
Animal studies suggest potential tumorigenicity with salbutamol, but its relevance to humans is unclear.
