Salmeterol: Selective long-acting β2-agonist that relaxes airway muscles and prevents symptoms for up to 12 hours.

Fluticasone Propionate: Inhaled corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory effects in the lungs, reducing symptoms and preventing exacerbations.

Together, they improve lung function, prevent flare-ups, and provide convenient combined therapy.

Do not start during an asthma attack or unstable asthma
Use rescue inhaler for sudden symptoms

COPD patients: Increased risk of pneumonia; monitor symptoms

Adults & Adolescents (≥12 years):

Inhaler: 2 puffs of 25 µg Salmeterol + 50/125/250 µg Fluticasone Propionate twice daily

Inhalation capsule: 50 µg Salmeterol + 100/250 µg Fluticasone twice daily; max 50/500 µg twice daily

Children (4–11 years):

2 puffs of 25 µg Salmeterol + 50 µg Fluticasone twice daily

Inhalation capsule: 50 µg Salmeterol + 100 µg Fluticasone twice daily

COPD (Adults):

50 µg Salmeterol + 250 µg Fluticasone twice daily

Important:

Use inhaler daily, even when asymptomatic

Rinse mouth after each use to prevent oral thrush

Common:

Tremor, headache, palpitations, throat irritation, hoarseness, oral thrush

Rare/Serious:

Cardiac arrhythmias, paradoxical bronchospasm, hypersensitivity reactions, muscle cramps

Remove cap and shake inhaler
Exhale fully, place mouthpiece between lips
Press canister and inhale slowly
Hold breath for 10 seconds
Wait 1 minute between puffs if more than one dose prescribed
Rinse mouth after use
Cleaning: Wash the actuator weekly with warm water (do not immerse canister).
