Sneezing and runny nose due to allergies

Adults & Adolescents (15+ years): 10 mg once daily
Children 6–14 years: 5 mg once daily
Children 2–5 years: 4 mg once daily
Infants 6 months–5 years: 4 mg oral granules once daily (directly or mixed with soft food)
No dose adjustment is needed for elderly, renal, or mild-to-moderate hepatic impairment patients

Common: Headache, GI discomfort, fever, diarrhea, URTI

Uncommon to Rare: Mood changes, abnormal behavior, dizziness, tremors, liver dysfunction, hallucinations, and rare allergic reactions like angioedema

Montene can be safely used with most asthma medications.
No significant interactions with common drugs (e.g., theophylline, steroids, contraceptives).
Enzyme inducers like phenobarbital may reduce Montene levels—monitor if co-administered.
