Arthrofen 75mg+200mcg Tablet

✔️ Uses:

Treats osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis in individuals at high risk for stomach or intestinal ulcers.

✔️ What is diclofenac and misoprostol?

• Diclofenac: A nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that reduces inflammation and pain.
• Misoprostol: Reduces stomach acid and replaces protective substances in the stomach that are reduced by NSAIDs.

✔️ Dosage:

Osteoarthritis:

• The recommended dosage for maximal GI mucosal protection: Diclofenac Sodium 50 mg & Misoprostol 200 µg three times daily (tid).
• For patients who experience intolerance:
  • Diclofenac Sodium 75 mg & Misoprostol 200 µg twice daily (bid), or
  • Diclofenac Sodium 50 mg & Misoprostol 200 µg bid.

Rheumatoid arthritis:

• Recommended dosage: Diclofenac Sodium 50 mg & Misoprostol 200 µg three times daily (tid) or four times daily (qid).
• For patients who experience intolerance:
  • Diclofenac Sodium 75 mg & Misoprostol 200 µg bid, or
  • Diclofenac Sodium 50 mg & Misoprostol 200 µg bid.

These dosages are tailored to provide optimal efficacy while minimizing the risk of gastrointestinal adverse effects.

✔️ Side effects:

May include abdominal pain, diarrhea, heartburn, indigestion, nausea, vomiting, constipation, dizziness, abnormal vaginal bleeding, and others. Seek immediate medical attention for signs of allergic reactions, severe skin reactions, heart attack, or stroke.

✔️ Missed dose:

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember, but skip it if it's almost time for the next dose. Do not double dose.

✔️ Interactions:

Can interact with various medications including antidepressants, cyclosporine, lithium, methotrexate, blood pressure medication, blood thinners, oral diabetes medicine, other NSAIDs, and steroids.

✔️ Warnings:

• Not recommended during pregnancy due to the risk of birth defects, miscarriage, premature labor, or uterine rupture.
• Diclofenac can increase the risk of fatal heart attack, stroke, and stomach or intestinal bleeding.
• Avoid alcohol consumption, exposure to sunlight, and using antacids without a doctor's advice.
• Inform your doctor about all medications you're taking, especially antidepressants, cyclosporine, lithium, methotrexate, blood thinners, diabetes medication, and other NSAIDs or steroids.

✔️ Storage Conditions:

Store Arthrofen in a cool and dry place below 25°C, protected from light.
