Pen Preparation / Cartridge Replacement

Remove the pen cap.
Turn and remove the cartridge sleeve.
Remove the empty cartridge (if needed).
Insert the new cartridge into the sleeve.
Push the threaded rod back completely.
Reattach the cartridge sleeve to the pen housing by turning.

✔️ Attaching the Pen Needle

Remove the peel foil from the needle.
Twist the needle onto the cartridge sleeve. Ensure it’s secure.
Remove the outer needle cap (keep it for safe disposal).
Remove and dispose of the inner needle cap.

✔️ Priming / Function Check

Dial at least 2 units on the dosage knob.
Hold the pen upright and gently tap the cartridge sleeve to release air bubbles.
Press the push-button: a few drops of insulin should appear at the needle tip.

✔️ Injection Technique

Follow the method recommended by your physician or healthcare professional.
Fully press the push-button to inject.
Hold the button pressed during discharge.
After injection, wait 6 seconds before removing the needle slowly. You may either keep the button pressed or release it during this time.

✔️ Storage:

Store the pen at room temperature (≤30°C) in the pen pouch, without the needle attached.
Protect the pen from water, dust, and moisture.
Clean with a damp cloth; avoid alcohol, solvents, or immersing in water.
Always attach the pen cap after use.
