✅ Description:
Fosravuconazole L-lysine ethanolate is a prodrug of Ravuconazole, a novel triazole antifungal agent with broad-spectrum and potent antifungal activity. It works by inhibiting ergosterol biosynthesis, a key component of fungal cell membranes. Structurally related to fluconazole and voriconazole, it contains a thiazole instead of a second triazole.
Ravuconazole is effective against:
- Aspergillus species (including A. fumigatus & A. flavus)
- Candida species
- Cryptococcus neoformans
- Fluconazole-resistant fungal strains

✔️ Indication
Ravu™ 100 Capsule is indicated for the treatment of Onychomycosis (fungal nail infection).
✔️ Commonly reported side effects include:
- Stomach discomfort
- Constipation
- Angular cheilitis (cracking at the corners of the mouth)
Seek medical attention if you experience serious reactions such as:
- Liver dysfunction (loss of appetite, nausea, jaundice)
- Erythema multiforme (red rash, fever, joint pain)
✔️ Dosage & Administration
- Adults: 1 capsule (100 mg) orally once daily for 12 weeks.
✔️ Drug Interactions
🔺 Increased therapeutic effect when combined with:
- Amiodarone, Amlodipine, Bepridil, Cinnarizine, Clevidipine, Carvedilol
- Acenocoumarol (anticoagulant)
🔻 Reduced absorption and effectiveness when taken with:
- Cimetidine
- Calcium carbonate, Almasilate, Aluminium phosphate, Aluminum hydroxide
- Asenapine
✔️ Contraindications
- Do not use in individuals with known hypersensitivity to any ingredient of the formulation.
✔️ Use in Pregnancy & Lactation
- Not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
- Women must use contraception during treatment and for 3 months after discontinuation.
✔️ Precautions
- Trim affected nails with a file or nail clipper as needed.
- Women of childbearing potential must use effective contraception while taking this medication and continue for at least 3 months after stopping treatment.
✔️ Storage Conditions
- Store below 30°C in a dry place.
- Keep out of reach of children.
