Indications
It is appropriate for the treatment and/or prevention of vitamin and mineral deficiencies caused by dietary restriction, insufficient food intake, alcoholism, and decreased absorption. It is also appropriate for patients who have a high demand for vitamins and minerals due to acute and chronic diseases, pregnancy, lactation, menopause, infection, antibiotic treatment, and rehabilitation. Prevent serious peri-pregnancy congenital defects (three months ago). This pill must be taken from conception to the first trimester of pregnancy).
Pharmacology
Vitamins and minerals are required for proper metabolic function (including hematopoietic function). Vitamin B group members are enzyme system components that regulate the various stages of carbohydrate, fat, and protein metabolism, with each component playing a specific biological role. Vitamin C helps with tissue repair and collagen formation. Vitamin A is essential for the growth and differentiation of epithelial tissues and plays an important role in the function of the retina. Vitamin E is an antioxidant that helps to keep vital cellular components in place. Vitamin D supplementation can be used to prevent and treat nutritional and metabolic rickets, as well as hypoparathyroidism. Iron, copper, manganese, and zinc act as enzyme catalysts and perform important cellular functions.
Dosage & Administration
Adults and children over the age of 5 should take one tablet daily, or as directed by their doctors.
Contraindications
This is contraindicated for patients allergic to any of its ingredients. This is not suitable for treating severe vitamin or mineral deficiencies. It is not recommended for patients receiving levodopa treatment, because pyridoxine will reduce the effectiveness of levodopa. In the first trimester of pregnancy, higher doses of vitamin A (more than 10 tablets per day) can cause teratogenicity.
Side-Effects
The side effects of certain vitamins and minerals have been reported, but their content is much higher than that of tablets. Iron is associated with gastrointestinal intolerance in some patients.
Pregnancy
During the first trimester of pregnancy, the recommended daily dose should not be exceeded. Because higher doses of vitamin A (several tablets per day) can cause teratogenicity.
Precautions
It is not suitable for the treatment of pernicious anemia or other megaloblastic anemia lacking vitamin B12.
Storage Conditions
Keep the temperature below 30 ° C, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
