It is important for patients taking this medication to monitor their plasma levels of calcium regularly to avoid hypercalcemia.

While Calboral-DX can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding, it is advisable to consult a doctor before taking it. The doctor can provide guidance on the appropriate dosage to prevent hypercalcemia and minimize any potential harm to the baby.

There are certain conditions in which Calboral-DX is not recommended. These include hypervitaminosis D (increased levels of vitamin D in the blood), kidney stones, and diseases that increase calcium levels in the blood and urine (such as hyperparathyroidism). It is important to discuss your medical history with your doctor to determine if this medication is suitable for you.

Calboral-DX should be used with caution in patients with sarcoidosis, immobilized patients with osteoporosis, malignancies, and impaired renal function. These conditions may require careful monitoring and adjustment of the dosage.

Common side effects of Calboral-DX include nausea, vomiting, constipation, excess gas, dry mouth, loss of appetite, and acid reflux. If any of these side effects worsen, it is recommended to consult your doctor.

Most prominently, it is required for building and maintaining healthy bones and teeth. It plays a crucial role in nerve transmission, muscle function, cellular signaling, and hormone secretion.

This is a preparation of calcium and vitamin D3, where calcium carbonate is obtained from coral sources. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Common side effects of Calboral-DX Tablet include nausea, vomiting, constipation, excess gas, dry mouth, loss of appetite, and acid reflux. If any of these side effects worsen, it is advisable to consult your doctor for further guidance and support.

Calboral-DX Tablet contains vitamin D3 and calcium carbonate. Vitamin D3 improves calcium absorption in the intestines, while calcium carbonate serves as a calcium supplement. The combination of these two components helps prevent increased bone resorption caused by calcium deficiency and the subsequent rise in parathyroid hormone levels. This promotes stronger bones, teeth, and improved muscle function.

The use of Calboral-DX Tablet as a daily supplement for a prolonged period can potentially lead to kidney stones due to excessive calcium deposition. It is crucial to consult your doctor before starting this medication, especially if you have any kidney problems or a history of kidney stones. Your doctor will evaluate your medical history and provide appropriate guidance to minimize the risk of kidney stone formation.

To maximize the absorption of calcium from Calboral-DX Tablet, it is advised to avoid taking antacids at the same time. Antacids can potentially increase the absorption of calcium from the medication. Therefore, it is recommended to take Calboral-DX Tablet either two hours before or four hours after taking antacids. This allows for better absorption of the calcium component in the medication.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is time for the next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and follow your usual dosage.
