Bexitrol F 25/250 HFA is a combination of two medicines: Salmeterol and Fluticasone Propionate. • Inhalation Asthma Adult: A combination containing salmeterol 50 mcg and fluticasone propionate 100/250/500 mcg/dose of inhalation powder: 1 inhalation bid. A combination containing salmeterol 25 mcg and fluticasone propionate 50/125/250 mcg/dose of pressurized inhalation: 2 inhalation bid. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease Adult: As combination containing salmeterol 50 mcg and fluticasone propionate 500 mcg/dose of inhalation powder: 1 inhalation bid.

Child Dose

• Inhalation Asthma Child: 4-12 yr: As combination containing salmeterol 50 mcg and fluticasone propionate 100 mcg/ dose of inhalation powder: 1 inhalation bid; As combination containing salmeterol 25 mcg and fluticasone propionate 50 mcg/dose of pressurized inhalation: 2 inhalation bid. >12 yr: As combination containing salmeterol 50 mcg and fluticasone propionate 100/250/500 mcg/dose of inhalation powder: 1 inhalation bid; As combination containing salmeterol 50/125/250 mcg and fluticasone propionate 50 mcg/dose of pressurized inhalation: 2 inhalation bid.

Direction for use:

• Take Bexitrol F 25/250 HFA Inhaler as prescribed by your doctor and use it every day until instructed otherwise.
• It is important to use the inhaler for inhalation only and breathe the medicine into your lungs through your mouth, not your nose.
• Refer to the enclosed leaflet for detailed instructions.
• Before using the inhaler for the first time or after a period of non-use, prime the device by releasing two puffs into the air.
• Place the mouthpiece in your mouth, ensuring a complete seal with your lips.

• Additionally, there is a potential interaction between Bexitrol F 25/250 HFA Inhalerand grapefruit or grapefruit juice. It is advisable to avoid consuming grapefruit or its juice while using this medication to prevent severe adverse effects.
• If you have certain medical conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, chest or lung infection, hyperthyroidism, low potassium levels in the blood, glaucoma, cataracts, osteoporosis, tuberculosis, or heart, liver, or adrenal gland problems, it is important to inform your doctor before using Bexitrol F 25/250 HFA Inhaler.

Contraindications

This is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.

Pregnancy & Lactation

Drugs should only be administered during pregnancy and lactation if the predicted benefit to the mother outweighs any potential danger to the fetus or child. Salmeterol Xinafoate and Fluticasone Propionate have insufficient expertise in human pregnancy and lactation. There is no information about human breast milk.

Precautions & Warnings

• Pulmonary TB, severe cardiovascular disorders, heart rhythm abnormalities, DM, thyrotoxicosis, hypokalaemia. Patients at risk of decreased bone mineral content (e.g. smoking, old age, sedentary lifestyle, poor nutrition, family history of osteoporosis, or long-term use of drugs that may decrease bone mass (e.g. anticonvulsants and corticosteroids). Do not stop therapy abruptly; therapy should be down-titrated. Advise patient to rinse mouth after inhalation. Monitor the height of children on prolonged therapy. Pregnancy, lactation.
• This medicine is for inhalation only. The tablet should not be swallowed.
• It should be taken at the same time each day.
• It does not work right away and should not be used to relieve sudden breathing problems. Use your rescue inhaler to control sudden difficulty in breathing.
• A dry mouth may occur as a side effect. Frequent mouth rinses, good oral hygiene, increased water intake, and sugarless candy may help.

• Only minuscule amounts of Bexitrol F 25/250 HFA may get absorbed into the bloodstream after inhalation. Hence, serious side effects are unlikely.
