How to take Calbo-D

Take this medication by mouth with food. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Calbo D may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time. If your product contains calcium citrate, then it may be taken with or without food. Follow all directions on the product package, or take as directed by your doctor. 

How Calbo-D works

Calbo D is a combination of two nutritional supplements: Calcium and Vitamin D3 which replenish the body's stores of important nutrients.

Indications of Calbo-D

A nutritional supplement called Calbo-D is primarily used to address low blood calcium levels. Vitamin D deficiency, osteoporosis (weak and brittle bones), hypoparathyroidism (a condition in which the parathyroid glands produce low levels of calcium in the body), latent tetany (a muscle disease with low blood calcium levels), and rickets or osteomalacia are among the conditions caused by low calcium levels in the body that are successfully treated by calcium plus vitamin D3. (softening or deforming of bones due to lack of calcium). A vitamin D deficiency happens when your body has insufficient amounts of the vitamin, which can be brought on by a poor diet, poor intestinal absorption, or a lack of sun exposure.

Pharmacology

This is how Calcium Carbonate and Vitamin D3 are made (Cholecalciferol). Calcium is required for a variety of bodily activities, including bone production and maintenance. Dosage & Administration of Calbo-D

Calcium 500mg+Vitamin D3 200IU Tablet: 

• 2 tablets daily or 1 tablet twice daily.
• It is best taken with or just after a meal to improve absorption.

Interactions of Calbo-D

It may interact with antacids containing calcium, aluminum, or magnesium, calcitriol, and other vitamin D3 supplements; digoxin, tetracycline, doxycycline, minocycline, or oxytetracycline; and digoxin, tetracycline, doxycycline, minocycline, or oxytetracycline.

Contraindications

Hypercalcaemia, hyperthyroidism, renal calculi and nephrolithiasis, and Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome are all contraindications.

Pregnancy & Lactation

This combination should be used as directed by a physician during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.

Precautions & Warnings

If there is any pre-existing heart disease or kidney disease, precautions should be taken.
