Dosage & Administrations of Napa 500mg Suppository

Suppository:

  • Children aged 3 to 12 months: 60-120 mg four times per day.
  • Children aged 1 to 5 years: 125-250 mg 4 times per day.
  • Children aged 6 to 12 years: 250-500 mg four times per day.
  • Adults and children over the age of 12: 0.5-1 gm four times daily
Interaction

Barbiturates, tricyclic antidepressants, and alcohol may impair the capacity of patients to metabolize large doses of paracetamol. Overdosing paracetamol can cause hepatotoxicity if used with alcohol. Anticonvulsants and oral steroid contraceptives cause liver enzymes to increase, which may prevent therapeutic Paracetamol levels from being reached by increasing first-pass metabolism or clearance.
